Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a distributed Cloud Operations team across multiple locations.
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Drive team performance through clear goal-setting, regular feedback, and career development support.
- Manage hiring, onboarding, and team structure as the organization scales.
Incident Management & Observability
- Own the end-to-end incident management lifecycle — from detection and response to post-mortem analysis and preventive action.
- Define and enforce SLAs, SLOs, and escalation procedures.
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of observability and monitoring strategies (metrics, logs, traces) to ensure proactive issue detection and resolution.
- Drive a culture of blameless retrospectives and lessons learned.
Cloud Cost Optimization
- Take ownership of cloud spend visibility, forecasting, and governance.
- Identify and drive cost optimization initiatives across cloud infrastructure (rightsizing, reserved capacity, resource lifecycle management, etc.).
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to embed cost-awareness into architectural decisions.
- Report on cloud financial KPIs to leadership and stakeholders.
Cross-functional Collaboration & Customer Engagement
- Partner with the Support and Technical Account Management teams to represent Cloud Operations in customer escalations, RFP responses, and pre/post-sales engagements.
- Provide technical input and operational insights for customer cases requiring cloud expertise.
- Act as a trusted point of contact for cloud operational matters in cross-departmental initiatives.
