Reporting to the CTO, the VP Cloud serves as the senior technology leader for cloud architecture, cloud operations, platform reliability, infrastructure modernization, and cloud financial discipline. The role partners closely with Product Management, Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Information Security, Finance, Customer Success, Support, and Technology Leadership to ensure product and infrastructure decisions are technically sound, operationally sustainable, commercially informed, and aligned with Matrix42’s long-term platform strategy.
The VP Cloud provides thought leadership and practical guidance on how products and underlying cloud infrastructure should be designed, built, deployed, and operated. This includes evaluating and adopting modern cloud-native technologies, enabling AI-ready platform capabilities, improving automation and operational efficiency, and ensuring that cloud architecture choices support innovation while maintaining strong reliability, security, compliance, and margin-aware cost structures.
The VP Cloud does not own product P&L, but is accountable for ensuring that cloud architecture, platform operations, infrastructure choices, and cost-management practices support established goals. The role is expected to establish clear standards, governance, metrics, and execution discipline across cloud environments so that Company X can deliver trusted, high-performing cloud services at scale.
The VP Cloud also advances Matrix42’s Cloud Your Way vision by enabling flexible deployment models across public cloud SaaS, private cloud, sovereign and country-specific data residency, and customer data center deployments. The role ensures these models are delivered through consistent architectural standards and operational controls without compromising resilience, security, compliance, customer trust, or operational excellence.
